The Goodyear Tower was named after the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, a major sponsor of the Riverside International Raceway. It served as a control tower for races and was used by race officials to monitor the races and make decisions. The tower was also a popular gathering place for fans and drivers, who could enjoy a panoramic view of the track and the surrounding area.
Riverside International Raceway was one of the premier racing facilities in the United States and hosted a variety of motorsports events, including sports car races, IndyCar races, and NASCAR races. The Goodyear Tower was an iconic part of the track and was widely recognized as a symbol of the Riverside International Raceway.
Unfortunately, the Riverside International Raceway has since been demolished, and the Goodyear Tower no longer stands. However, its legacy lives on through the many drivers, teams, and fans who have fond memories of the races and events held there.
